Postings from Judie Peet and Frank O'Connor regarding brochures about birding in
different parts of the country are very encouraging. It will be great to see
more of these being produced for other areas. This sounds like a challenge for
other regional groups of BA, perhaps. I would like to remind readers that Birds
Australia has produced "Birder Cards", for giving to businesses in areas where
you are birding. This demonstrates to business people that birders contribute
financially to their area, and hopefully that the maintenance of birding
opportunities is in their direct interest.

The cards are available from the Birds Australia National Office, and possibly
other offices, for a modest sum ($10.00 for fifty cards, from memory).

Cheers

Ian
