G'day all

Thanks for all the GPS advice over the last couple of weeks. I purchased a
Garmin eTREX on Saturday. It is a little ripper - has all the features I need
and is extremely quick (15secs usually) to get a new fix. I'm still learning
what it can do. Cost was $288 from CH Smith Marine in Collingwood(Melbourne).
I found a few suppliers on the Internet and Smiths was the cheapest by as much
as $50.

A couple of questions for the more experienced users:

- True North or Magnetic North (please explain the answer)

- Which Datum to use?

Cheers

Steve
