Here's a report of DOG EATS FUNGUS!

She 11 months old and inclined to eat anything. My friend said 'Dasher' had consumed some red-orange fungus growing on a log in our garden. I checked at the site. There are about eight fruiting bodies on the log in question, mostly about 1 x 1 cm and 0.5 cm high, just really semi-hemispherical lumps and tomato-coloured. And, sure enough, there were two lumps missing, just the remains left.

So far, the dog is still alive and as hearty as usual.
