Orange bellied Parrots

Whilst taking part in the Westernport Wader Survey on French Island(Vic) on
Saturday(17th) we sighted 3 Orange Bellied Parrots in with a flock of 24
Blue Winged Parrots. The flock flew and the 3OB's broke away from the group
and their call identified them as OB'S as well as excellent views of their
orange tums. 
Large numbers of waders overwintering in Westernport this year, maybe an
indication of a good breeding year last year in the northern hemisphere?
