Hi gang, Lorne here. Further to Edwin's trip reports, I saw four new
birds last weekend off Magic Point, Maroubra, Sydney....

SHY ALBATROSS
COMMON DIVING-PETREL
FAIRY PRION
ANTARCTIC PRION

They were spectacular. Thanks to Edwin Vella, Rod Gardner and David
Koffel for their help re. identification. I get a bit confused re. the
pelagic species.

I have not had many rewarding seabird watches before. Four ticks in
three days is very impressive and now I'm adddicted! Magic Point lives
up to its name too... rainbelts, rainbows, great cloud smears, the
Gothic nature of ocean, the birds, interesting rock formations, heath,
the immortal elements!!!!!!!

Cheers,

LGJ.
