Most cemeteries are in remnant native vegetation Lorne.  Or you could
generate a few more greenhouse gases by being cremated!

Yeah, right on man.  Unfortunately agriculture and horticulture are also
major degraders of land.  Think about how cotton is grown in Australia.  I
don't think that many vegans realise how un-cool cotton garments are in
terms of how cotton is produced, or the synthetics that are by-products of
the petrochemical industry for that matter.  We need to de-stigmatise hemp
fibre, and grow it on otherwise marginal farmland - before southern
Australia gets snowed under with Blue Gum plantations ......... and various
other major shifts.

I guess this ramble means that thinking about bird-friendly means of
production can not be solved in terms of simplistic solutions such as
increased vegetarianism.
