Rachelle: You don't mention where it is you live. Here in Redcliffe, 35km NNE of Brisbane (Queensland), I had a female/juvenile Koel in residence up until three weks ago. It arrived that final Saturday morning for its customary feed of lorikeet mixture and banana, flew off and is now hopefully with its kith and kin somewhere in PNG.
