Hello Simon
,
A sparse flowering of Red Bloodwood in my vicinity (abt.20k NNW Sydney CBD)
some
three weeks ago. These trees do not seem to be very productive of nectar ,
the
only feeders noticed were Noisy Miners.........But on 6/5/00 a small group
of perhaps 12 or 14 Swift Parrots dashed through the trees in my garden
heading in a northerly direction.

A little recompense for the dearth of migrants here this year.No Silvereyes
,Rose robins, Yellowfaced Honeyeaters Whitenaped HE's Grey or Rufous
Fantails. The only apparent movement has been by Red wattlebirds, Brush
Wattlebirds, and a few Noisy Friarbirds and Yellowtailed Black Cockatoos
(who seem to revel in our wet Autumn).

Ah well .......a case of count your blessings!!!
