closely at the local trees of Silky Oak Grevillea robusta when they are in
flower later this year. '
I have been asked for more information about this so here is all I now
know. I hope it is all accurate.
This is part of an ongoing effort to encourage people to grow more native
plents (and understand more about them) by emphasising their bird
attracting benefits. In 1993 - 5 they recorded information about Acacias,
including birds breeding, nesting etc. This information was published in
the Nov 97 Bird Observer. The April 2000 Bird Observer has an article on
the Silky Oaks project.
They request photos so that they can encourage papers to papers to publish
them to further inform the public.
