Today I was doing one of my regular surveys for Willoughby Council in
Sugarloaf Creek.
This is a small creek running through suburbia into Middle Harbour and only about 8 km north of the Sydney Harbour bridge. A single Dollarbird was present; this is a late date for this species in Sydney. Nearby was a Spangled Drongo and a Brown Goshawk put in a brief visit. Earlier I had been lucky to see another Brown Goshawk on the north side of the Parramatta River (Sydney Harbour) just west of the Sydney Harbour bridge.
