In January Edwin Vella asked about paers on separation of Cooks and Pycroft Petrels. Apart from the Western Birds Article that Tony Palliser mentioned there is a two-part article: Roberson, D. & Bailey, S.F. 1991. Cookilaria Petrels in the eastern Pacific Ocean: Identification and Distribution. American Birds 45 (3) 399-403 and 45(5) 1067-81. It doesn't have all the answers (who does?) but its an excellent start, and lavishly illustrated. cheers David James PO BOX 5225 Townsville Mail Centre, Qld 4810, Australia ___________________________ To unsubscribe from this list, please send a message to Include ONLY "unsubscribe birding-aus" in the message body (without the quotes) |
