Aside from my preference for calling cockatoos by their alternate name [weeros - which reflects their call] some alternative names would be Emu - Chook on Stilts Night Parrot - Olive Pimpernel [they seek it here, they seek it there] Paradise Parrot - Missed Tick Malleefowl - Sandmaster Bush Turkey - Compost King Noisy Scrub Bird - Ninjabird [moves silently] Regards, Laurie To unsubscribe from this list, please send a message to Include ONLY "unsubscribe birding-aus" in the message body (without the quotes) |
