Hi all,

* Regarding an alphabetical list:
It wouldn't be hard to print out this list - (Bob) please email me if you want me to send you one. If many people want one then best to contact BA directly ...

* Regarding the regional vetting, I am not sure whether electronic submissions are now all being sent to ROs, however I do know there is already at least one extra level of checking on the electronic submissions compared to the paper ones - that is, all bird records are compared against state lists before submission. They are also vetted again on entry to the main database.

* Regarding the software - I and others have been working to improve it, especially in making it easier to enter information.

However, it is basically software to allow electronic submission of data (to save paper etc) and does not yet (probably never will) provide the sort of functionality of BirdInfo or other birding database products. Which is just as well, since it's available for free :-)

hope this info helps,

Heather
