Dear Julie

Thank you for your note about the PHE at Jandowae. It is gratifying to
think that the directions I provided proved so helpful. To be able to find
the birds the moment you stepped out of the vehicle proves that the spots
mentioned are still in use.

A number of people have doubted that PHE would be there during summer but
your sightings of breeding birds as late as 29 November shows that the area
is probably the most reliable area in Australia for sightings of Painted
Honeyeaters.

It was nice to receive some thanks after being almost abused by some others
for "wasting their time" when giving the same information. I would have
thought that those who are serious enough to subscribe to Birding-aus would
accept that there are no guarantees in birding. It is obvious some of them
only want the quick tick without the effort.

Cheers

Terry Pacey
