John,
You are correct in what you say about the western limit of the Leaden
Flycatcher. According to Morris, McGill & Holmes 1981 "A Handlist of Birds in
NSW", the Leaden Flycatcher occurs on the Coast, Tablelands, Slopes, North-west
Plain & Riverina. West to Boggabilla, Nandewar Range, Warrumbungle Range,
Wellington, Parkes, Temora SF, Gulpha SF and on the Murray River west to Barham.
In more recent times it has been shown to be regular west to Collarenebri and
south to the Pilliga Scrub, Dubbo and then Parkes etc.
I have included both the Sparrowhwak and the Leaden Flychatcher records in the
"Unusual Sightings" section of the next NSWFOC Newsletter.
