I will away for a week in Tasmania between 26th December and 3rd January. I will be staying with a friend at Longford (near Launceston in the northern part of the state). Although I have been able to get information on where to find the 12 endemics, any additional information on where to find them will be most welcome, especially in the northern part of the state. I would also like to know where there are any fairly reliable spots for Blue-winged Parrots, Pink Robins and Striated Fieldwrens. Are there also any accessible spots to see Orange-bellied Parrots (without flying out to Melaleuca).

Finally, I would like to do some sea watching from the coast (since It may be hard to go on a pelagic during this time) and would like to know what areas may be ideal to do so. Are there places where Common Diving Petrels, White-chinned Petrels and Grey Petrels can be sighted from land.

Thanks

Edwin
