Hi netters, A male Koel has reliably been reported calling (and seen) this morning in the Melbourne suburb of Mont Albert. It is apparently moving about the area a bit. The observer is familiar with the bird from north Queensland experience. This is interesting because reports of Koels are becoming almost an annual event in Victoria and it follows on from the Channel-billed Cuckoo in October.
