I found that message from Anne Labro fascinating because I did some research on female-female pairs for my still unfinished article on some weird behaviour by Singing Honeyeaters. I can't remember any references to male-male pairing although female-female "breeding" pairs have been found in quite a few tern and gull species. I'd be interested in any references to male homosexual pairing (amongst birds) that anyone could send me.
