Not at all. I was merely referring to the thought-processes which led
to:

in response to David Parker's first post to this list. Perhaps I was
being a bit too subtle.
So I will be more direct - I think people participating in newsgroups
should observe the basic rules of civility. "What a load of ignorant
and self-righteous crap" has a nasty feel to it and is not the sort of
thing we should be saying to well-intentioned fellow birders,
particularly in response to their maiden post. [Do we want new people
to hold off posting for fear someone will jump down their throat?]
