On Saturday 30 Oct on the Atherton tableland, a group of us drove down a lane near Atherton and saw an incredible "flock" of Barn Owls - we estimated 25+ but assumed some repeat birds. However, 4 of us returned last night and counted 32 separate birds most within 1 km along the lane - quite a remarkable sight. Is this congregation of owls in these numbers unusual?
