Hi Jesse,
Given your practices and points of view expressed in your posting re
ticking, you may just get into Birders' Heaven provided two conditions are
met:-

1) that the very EXISTENCE of a heaven for American birders can be proven, and

2) that you stop using the word "listing" Ugh, Ugh, Ugh ! - this is a
prime example of one of those culturally derived semantic differentials -
like cars ( not autos), have bonnets and boots, (not hoods and trunks). Yuk.

Actually, here in Oz we do talk about a person's life list, year list,
state list, back garden list, on the way to work list, from the train or bus
list, trip list, species list, subspecies list, twitchathon list, pelagic
list, and any other type of [but not TV!!] list you can dream up. And
people are very competitive in a fun way, but it sure gets you out there
enjoying it.

But "listing"? Uh Uh. That's Stateside stuff.

Cheers mate. Tony.

There's nothing quite like the feeling of seeing a new bird is there?
