Hi Annabel and other Birders, I am only aware of four records of Banded Whiteface in NSW, all observations published in the NSW Annual Bird Reports. These are as follows: 1976 3-5 at Fort Grey, Sturt NP 9/9/76 1982 2 at 10km south of McDougalls Well, 30 km North of Broken Hill on 27/8/82 1984 5 at 30 km north-west of Silverton 22/9/84 (Aust. Birds 20, 48-50) 1986 2 c.5 km south of Sturt Np 25/9/86 (Aust. Birds 23, 91) Your observation will be the fifth record. The months observed would appear to be significant Aug-Oct Alan Morris NSWFOC Records Officer To unsubscribe from this list, please send a message to Include ONLY "unsubscribe birding-aus" in the message body (without the quotes) |
