Hello David,

The reason for my question was that this particular bird appears to
associate with a sturdier looking Red Wattlebird with noticeably redder and
more prominent wattles. I have not noticed this difference in the many
other Wattlebirds which appear from time to time in my garden. Are these
birds strongly territorial? If so, it would probably explain why I have
seen them over a period of five or six months now. They have begun to
arrive as individuals the past week and come and go from and in the same
direction . Would this indicate a happy event soon ?
