The SAOA held it's September mid month outing at Scott Conservation Park
today.The park, 35 24 32s , 138 44 21e, is some 15km north of Goolwa, which
is on the west shore of Lake Alexandrina in South Aust. 
It was a beautiful clear sunny day with temperatures in the low twenties.
Birding commenced at 0900 and finished at 1300, and was attended by 13
persons.
Birds were very active in the park and species seen were as follows:
Aust Wood Duck 2
Pacific Black Duck 2
Aust Pelican 1
Straw-necked Ibis 4 flying over
Brown Goshawk 1
Wedge-tailed Eagle 1
Common Bronzewing 1
Galah ca 20, some at nest holes
Rainbow Lorikeet 30+ some at nest holes
Musk Lorikeet 30+ some at nest holes
Purple-crowned Lorikeet 100+ some at nest holes
Adelaide Rosella 30+  some at nest holes
Red-rumped Parrot 50+ many at nest holes
Elegant Parrot 2
Pallid Cuckoo 1
Horsfield's Bronze Cuckoo 3
Laughing Kookaburra ca 10
Sacred Kingfisher 4
White-throated Treecreeper 4
Brown Treecreeper 2
Superb Fairy-wren ca 20
Spotted Pardalote 1
Striated Pardalote 30+
Weebill 1
Striated Thornbill ca 8
Red Wattlebird 30+
Yellow-faced Honeyeater ca 5
White-eared Honeyeater 1
White-plumed Honeyeater ca 20
Black-chinned Honeyeater 3
Brown-headed Honeyeater ca 20
White-naped Honeyeater ca 30 one pair with nest
Crescent Honeyeater ca 10
New Holland Honeyeater 100's
Eastern Spinebill 1
Scarlet Robin 2 pairs, each pair with nest
White-browed Babbler ca 12
Golden Whistler 5
Rufous Whistler 2
Grey Shrike-thrush 4
Grey Fantail 6
Willie Wagtail 1
Black-faced Cuckoo-shrike 3
Aust Magpie ca 12
Grey Currawong 1
Little Raven ca 20
Red-browed Firetail 6
Tree Martin 100's many at nest holes
Silvereye 3
Common Blackbird 1
Common Starling 3
