Hello all,
My lemon tree has been similarly attacked and I also blamed the possum, until I witnessed a Satin Bowerbird stripping the peel from top to bottom, leaving a naked lemon.  The fruits left unfinished showed the size of the beak where the strip began.  I assumed it was the yellow which was the attractant and recall the same "attack" this time last year.
Cheers, Barbara.
