A friend of mine in the UK wrote - "In Essex we had a 95+% eclipse. I went to Abberton - interesting to see the ducks & cormorants start to go to roost as it got very gloomy for some 20 minutes in the middle of the morning." Note that this Abberton is not Bill Jolly's birding hot spot at Helidon, QLD, but Abberton reservoir near Colchester, Essex, UK. Cheers - Trevor. -----Original Message----- From: Philip A Veerman <> To: Birding-Aus <> Date: Sunday, 22 August 1999 15:47 Subject: birding-aus Bird reaction to Total solar eclipse over Europe To unsubscribe from this list, please send a message to Include ONLY "unsubscribe birding-aus" in the message body (without the quotes) |
