On the subject of structures and birds, is there any data on the impact of wind generators [like the ones at Esperance and Cooper Pedy] on birds [ie apart from the bleeding obvious, he says in an attempt to ward off the inevitable punsters]? I know that some locals were expressing concern that wind generators in northern Tassie might be a problem for migrating orange-bellied parrots [ie a solution to a climate change problem possibly causing a conservation problem]. If the wind generators were to be a problem to the OBPs would a few fake raptors be a solution? Regards, Laurie.
