Thanks to Craig Eddie for his note re previous sightings. Yes, a little over-enthusiasm on my part re this being the first record in the catchment. I believe Tony Palliser found one at Lake Atkinson and Mike Mathieson has a record of another one, also at Lake Atkinson - which might be the May 98 record you mentioned. I've also been aware for some time of a reported sighting at Gatton Apex Lake, but I haven't been able to attribute it. If anyone knows, I'd be very pleased to hear more.
