Highlights in NSW over the last week or so, as reported to Birdline NSW, are
as follows:

"NORTHERN" ROYAL ALBATROSS      1 Magic Point, Maroubra, Sydney 31/7
SOUTHERN FULMAR 1 Magic Point, Maroubra, Sydney 31/7
SOUTHERN GIANT PETREL   2 "white phase" Magic Point, Maroubra, Sydney 31/7
FRECKLED DUCK   still 2 Karoo Station Dam, near Meadow Flat between Bathurst
and Lithgow 1/8
PINK-EARED DUCK 40 Bicentenial Park, Homebush Bay 30/7 - left over from last
summer
BROWN QUAIL             6 Mason Park, Strathfield, Sydney 30/7
LEWIN'S RAIL            now regular Magic Point, Maroubra, Sydney - early
morning is best
FAIRY MARTIN            6 Bicentennial Park, Homebush Bay, Sydney 30/7 -
first report for spring
TAWNEY GRASSBIRD        1 Magic Point, Maroubra 1/8
GREENFINCH              5 Magic Point, Maroubra 31/7 - this feral species is
scarce in NSW
