Thanks Julian for informing us.
Graham and I enjoyed the hospitality of this great birding identity when we
visited her Mitchell property in 1992 and stayed several days in her
sanctuary. She wanted to show us her bustards and spent several hours one
day charging through paddocks of Mitchell grass in her aging Landcruiser
looking for them without success. She did however derive great satisfaction
from 'finding' Plum-headed Finches by the creek for us. She was clearly
happy with our delight, hopped into her cruiser, and 'bumped' back to the
homestead, leaving us with that lasting memory. Of course there are birds in
heaven! Enjoy it Dawn you deserve it!
