I met Dawn by chance in 1995 and was invited to bird on her property.  Her
opening words to me were 'My family think I'm as mad as a wheel."  She was
in her 70's then, and had survived heart attacks, a collapsed lung and
walked with a cane as her hip had given way - none of which stopped her
from shimmying under the electric fence to gain access to the Mitchell
sewage farm.  Her advice to me was to ignore all 'Keep Out' signs and play
dumb if challenged.

I know many of us will have 'Dawn' stories.  I don't know if she managed to
reached her target of '600 lifers before faling off my perch' but if there
is a heaven and birds in it Dawn will be out there with the best of them....
