Just in case anyone is keeping tabs on all these populations of Long-billed Corellas - I'll mention that there is a well established group of around 20 birds living in the Lowood area in the Lockyer Valley, (approx 60 km west of Brisbane). Friends of ours are justifiably proud of their lovely garden, and the birds it attracts. They enjoyed showing us the Long-billed Corellas when they first turned up there - but their affection has waned as the corellas have, predictably, commenced tearing up their lawn on a regular basis.
