Thanks, Hal, I am an American who has birded Australia several times and I
assume that there are a number of lurkers/eavesdroppers in other countries
that also monitor the lists like SABirdNet, UKBirdnet, etc looking for info
for
future trips. It is tremendously helpful when locations are clearly given,
when
there is a subject line and message follow some general format. Our local
newsgroup also strongly endorses a signature block similar to mine (others
have phone/fax/professional info). There is also reluctance to open
attachments
from unknown senders due to virus transmission possibilities.
This is not criticism but a comment. The info I have extracted for future
birding
missions to Australia is invaluable. Our own nesgroup has its problems and
quirks.
