I am driving to the big smoke on Saturday and back to Orange on Monday and wondered if there are any Swift Parrots still around? Did I remember reading something about Parramatta Park? I couldn't get out last weekend as I was working, but I did see a very handsome Peregrine Falcon, which is rather a unusual site from my back yard in suburban Orange (Hobbies are more common). From the feathers under the telegraph pole where it was sitting, it was eating what I am pretty sure was a Crested Pigeon which had been doing its courtship dance and perhaps got a bit engrossed.
