Some years ago, on a hot day, I went to hang out some laundry and was only a metre away from a small, shallow, concrete pool in our garden when I saw an apparently semi-comatose Striated Pardalote sitting in the water at the pool's edge. After watching it for a moment I became concerned for it but as I moved forward to pick it up, it flew away, apparently perfectly OK. Regards, Anne -- Anne & Roger A.
