birding-aus Can somebody please tell me what has happened to Apus nipalensis ? My BirdBase for Windows program calls A. nipalensis the House Swift and BirdArea has it appearing in Nepal and the Indian subcontinent generally. A. affinis (which it calls the Little Swift) appears over much the same area but into Africa as far as South Africa and through SE Asia to Australia. Has A. nipalensis been lumped into A. affinis ? If my new Hanzab had arrived, I may not have had to ask this question.
