     Glen,
According to the 1995-1996 Australian Bird and Bat Banding Scheme
Report there have been only 59 Pheasant Coucals banded between 1953
and 1995. None of these banded birds have been recaptured.

Glen, Some years ago Barney trapped a Pheasant Coucal at Point Lookout using the
raptor trap with a live mouse as bait.
A copy of this letter goes to David Stewart, ornithologist at NP & WLS. I would
suggest you contact Kevin and Marion Crouther at Dalrymple Heights to see if
they have banded any. You could also email the Banding Office and enquire as to
whether any one has been banding them lately.
Not much encouragement I am sorry. Kindest regards to you both, Mike
