birding-aus
Penny:
Like our Tom, I'm not an opera buff either but today I returned home from a
hard day's teaching to relax on my front verandah, pot of (English
Breakfast) tea to hand, reading A.G. Dickens' "Thr English Reformation" (the
current history text I happen to be plouging through) and Mendelssohn's
Symphony No.4 in A Major Opus 90 (his almost immortal "Italian Symphony") in
the background... all to to the accompaniment of Rainbow Lorikeets coming in
to a late afternoon feed on our flowering tee-trees.
Incidently, I have Nielsen's Symphony No2 Op. 16 ("The Four Temperaments")
playing as I tap this out on the keyboard - but no bird vocals in the
background.
