There used to be some Magpie Geese at Serendip (near You Yangs Vic.)
This property was used as a wildlife research establishment , maybe
still is.
There was a suggestion that the birds occasionally seen at the Western
Treatment Plant (formerly Werribee Sewage Farm) came from there. This
would include the Ryans Swamp pair.
