I saw about half a dozen or so at seeham swamp fairly regularly when i
lived in the Hunter Valley 1983 and 1984. I don't think that they'd been
there for long. There was no reason to suspect that they were not wild, as
they appeared to be expanding through coastal NSW (eg. there were 40-50 at
grafton in '82.)
