birding-aus Morning .. I'm currently writing up a small paper on bird communities along a north-south altitudinal transect through the eastern Otway Ranges in SW Victoria. Records of Owlet-nightjars are relatively scarce for the high rainfall Otway forests (and SW Victoria generally ... but I digress), though I've found them to be locally abundant on well drained ridgelines below about 300m. I'm interested in other records of Owlet-nightjars from the Otway Ranges - preferably from the east but the west would be interesting too. What kind of habitat, topography, etc.??? Can anyone help (please)? -- +++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++ Lawrie Conole 3 Gezireh Street Pascoe Vale South Victoria 3044 AUSTRALIA Phone AH (03) 9354 2484 Phone Mobile (0419) 588 993 E-mail: <> +++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++ To unsubscribe from this list, please send a message to Include "unsubscribe birding-aus" in the message body (without the quotes) |
