Congrats to Chris Lester on getting '40' Blue-faced parrot-finches up
near Julatten on his recent expedition. I saw one when I was at that
glade at Mt. Lewis back in Dec. 1996. I thought I was lucky!

Jesus...           40 !!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!


I'll go away now and cry for a very long time.

PS - The owl benefit gig was good. If people are interested, The
Wilderness Society are allowing people to sponsor the Powerful Owl. You
name your price and send the money off to them. You can sponsor an owl
yourself or give the sponsorship as a gift. The money goes to saving
threatened east coast forest habitat that the owl lives in. For more
