Hello birdlovers... Lorne here...

1. Abbreviations are annoying. If you've seen a Red-chested
Button-quail, write out the whole name. RCBQ sounds pretentious. Also,
who's going to know what a RCBQ is, based on the acronym????? I endorse
the words of Edwin Vella and others.

2. I'm now living in Pymble in Sydney. Can anyone tell me what Bobbin
Head and Garrigal and the southern extremities of Kuring-gai Chase
National Park are like birdwise, I haven't birded there that many times
before. Any good birding spots near Pymble???

3. Has anyone ever seen a Greater Glider in Sydney???? Could you tell me
where to see them (please send a private message). I'd love to see one.

4. The SNOWY OWL footage on 'The Life of Birds' was incredible. Surely
looking into the eyes of that owl is like staring into the soul and
esence of God!!!!!!!!!!! A supreme, mysticallly beautiful animal!!!!!

5. Saw 2 Channel-billed Cuckoos flying across Pennant Hills Rd. at
Thornleigh an hour ago. They are spectacular birds in flight!!!!

Just some more assorted ramblings folks. I hope your Australia day
is/was therapeutic, wherever you are/were! Thanks in advance for any
replies to my questions.

Seeya,

LORNE.
