Hi Ros, The nearest equivalent to Birding-aus for the UK is, as far as I know, the news group uk.rec.birdwatching. You may be able to access this from the news area of your web browser. Alternatively use Deja news (best ? site for checking news groups): http://www.dejanews.com/ and in the search area type in: uk.rec.birdwatching.
