For information As of 21 July 1998 the Barking Owl (Ninox connivens) and Blue-billed Duck (Oxyura australis) are now officially listed as threatened species (in Victoria) on schedule 2 of the Flora and Fauna Guarantee Act 1988. These and 11 other items were advertised in the 23 July edition of the Victorian Government Gazette p. 2001. Should anyone be interested in the Scientific Advisory Committee's Recommendation Reports for these species please feel free to contact me directly for copies.
