In South Australia this is a common misconception also. The answer for
this state is that although all lease-hold land and some freehold stops
short of the river, with a crown land shoreline, this isn't always the
case. Quite a lot of freehold properties (including my own) extend to
the water's edge. The only way to be sure is check with a suitable map,
the Lands Dept. or the property owner.
