Hunter Bird Observers Club had its Easter camp at a property adjoining the
Kelvin State Forest near Gunnedah (NSW). It is the 4th time that the club
has camped on this property in the past 15 years. The total bird list is
now 130. We saw 104 species over the four day break.

Highlights included a Black Falcon seen several times and a Regent
Honeyeater which was only seen briefly at a water trough. Yellow-rumped
Thornbill, Double-barred Finch, Spiny-cheeked Honeyeater, Silvereye and
Speckled Warbler were exceedingly common as was, unfortunately, Common
Starling.
