Hi Jill and all Nankeen Night-heron can often be found around Mordialloc Creek in South-East Melbourne where they roost in Californian Cypress trees. One overhangs Nepean Highway and thousands of cars per day pass within a few metres and very few know its there. The odd motorist would need to wash their windscreen.
