We have a few night-herons around at the School by the Bay. The powers-that-be keep hacking down the trees so there is less and less to choose from but they do seem to prefer the big ugly cypress species that proliferates here and all over the western districts of Victoria. The same species hosts a breeding colony of over 20 little egrets right here in Geelong. Russell Woodford |
