Of course NOT!! I would hope that most people who read birding-aus have
an interest in the birds they see that goes beyond the tick, the list, the
taxonomic decision, etc. For as long as we've had birding-aus, we've
welcomed comments and opinion on all sorts of birding 'support' services
from field guides to magazines to tours to optics, GPS units and portable
hides, etc. That's why we're here.
On a related but embarrassing matter:
I have a couple of IBB editions that James sent to me at the end of last
year (OK in August to be utterly truthful) and that I promised to review.
They are still waiting, along with a wetlands report that I promised
Martin O'Brien I would review asap.
Both publications look like they will receive favourable reviews but I
will say no more now until I've looked at them properly.
